Assassin's Creed - Android Game -
man embodies grace, determination, precision and technique. Magistral messenger of Death, Altair has all of the fallen angel, ruthless, fearless and elusive. Entrusted to the care of Gameloft Ubisoft, master assassin now proposes to come spilling the blood of his enemies on the technological marvel of Apple. Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles is actually porting the title of the same name, released in February 2008 on Nintendo DS. There is a prologue to the very first adventures of Altair and we offer today (re) discover these events. Also, do not be surprised to see a good part of the test of the DS version in the following lines.
As a prequel, Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles could not logically follow the structure and scriptwriting foundations laid by the album of 2007. Exit then the idea of this vile murderer who do not know, forced to probe the tortuous paths of its own memory to relive the murders committed by his ancestor. No, this time, the small cartridge focuses exclusively on young Altair and the events that take place in 1190 in the heart of the Third Crusade. Crusaders and Saracens battle for control of Jerusalem and Altair in this context warrior, is given a mission of the highest importance. The killer must discover the Chalice, an artifact on which the two warring factions would love to get their grubby paws. Too powerful for mortals, too unstable, potentially able to undermine the delicate balance that the brotherhood of assassins strives to keep this land for generations, the cursed object must be destroyed. That will be your task, a task that you must perform across a whole gaggle of flat-packed levels of formic guards big on the fight and on clothing leather.
This seemingly easy part actually proves very difficult on the iPhone.
The goal will not be easy to achieve, but you can obviously count on countless acrobatic skills and warrior Altair. As on other machines, so you'll need to twirl rooftops to try to infiltrate various strongholds, extract information to different individuals more or less desirable, all of course by sending a string of ad patres bumpkins. Each mission is an opportunity to unveil a little more about the history and each step you inexorably closer to your goal. The player moves in 3D environments and can climb walls, clinging to all cornices creation, jumping like a kid, along with elegance and narrow beams overlooking the streets of different cities of the Holy Land. Later, the guy can even use a grappling hook to cross large chasms. Basically, Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles evokes very quickly the first Prince of Persia, this venerable ancestor. Here, you guessed it, it will no longer matter to explore on your own beautiful reproductions of cities in the Middle East, as was the case in earlier versions of Assassin's Creed. Instead, we actually found a way to the linear structure, forcing the player to follow a single road well defined and always indicated by a green arrow.

Gameloft has therefore sought to produce a great big action / platform game families, supported by multiple scripted sketches. Levels also deliver their labor quota traps of all kinds: sharp spikes, rickety buildings or sections of walls ready to crumble under your feet yet lightweight, flesh-hungry flames, this fits in very pretty scenery, relatively well arranged. Unfortunately, the touchpad of the iPhone is not really suitable for twirling the murderer, even if Gameloft really seems to have made every effort to make it as playable. Thus, it is not uncommon to see our beautiful Altair try to climb a wall next to a scale rather than grab it. It is also seen as wallowing miserably at the bottom of a building because they will not be able to focus properly before a jump. In short, as it frankly: the handling problems often take away any interest in Assassin's Creed.
The fights are terribly soft.
In addition to these big problems handling, note the weak combat system. Two pads located in the right corner of the screen respectively control the fast attacks and powerful attacks while a button-shaped shield can block shots and initiate fatal shots. It all sounds nice on paper, but in fact, clubbing one attack button like a wild more than enough to eviscerate all the guards in the area, as numerous as they are. Very quickly, fighting, extremely numerous, are part of a routine form of tasteless and are more akin to an annoying formality than a real source of amusement. Occasionally, the game still allows to perform some updates silent death for which it is sufficient simply to approach slowly (which already is an achievement with the touchpad) yet a docile and willing target then press button will appear before your eyes asleep.
Move slowly towards a sleeping target is a challenge of terrible trouble.
Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles also imposes a system of old-growth and therefore not necessarily very attractive. Suffice it actually collect blue orbs divided into levels, and then exchange them against upgrades relatively useless given the ease of the game While often trépassera (because of the famous handling problems), but Most of the time, you will start a few steps away, fresh as a roach on the day of his birth. Finally, these include some mini-games to look good, wear no passion for the touch screen. It will eradicate such a key exchange with a guard making sure that it does not collide with other objects. Finally, the last complaint sent to this title obviously probably deserved better: the brevity of adventure that can be shipped in just a few hours.
